- More communication lines
It is more and more common to use communication lines to drive external devices. Following this trend, the new platform includes more possibilities for the communication in terms of speed and number of communication lines. Up to 4 lines can be used to communicate with different devices with any setting of speed in order to simplify the communication development.
- Wi-Fi connection
When on site, connecting to a device is crucial and it is not always possible to bring a PC and cables in order to perform it. The introduction of the Wi-Fi capability allows now to insert a dongle and connect to the controller directly via a WI-FI hotspot to check the web state; in addiction, where there is a pre-existing network, it is possible to connect the controller without the ethernet cables
- Remote update functionality
The remote support has been actively increased. Being able to fix issues, check states or help the final customer without sending a technician on the field is crucial. That’s why we have introduced this new way to update all the functionalities of the controller remotely. This includes the operative system, the application, all the configuration files and anything else that can be updated, simply by connecting to an internal FTP of the controller (enabled on demand) and performing a total safe update.
- Rollback functionality
The rollback functionality provides a safe restore point when running updates of the operative system or of the application. The controller is able to run a new application, for example, validating it in the first two minutes of power on. In this way, if the update is not successful, the controller can shift back to the previous application restoring the old working state of the unit.
